A fluffy, feathered Velociraptor gathers leaves and twigs into a cozy nest on the forest floor. The feathers, leaves, and small stones give kids lots of little areas to fill at their own pace. This page is a fun way to show that many dinosaurs looked more like birds than lizards.
Velociraptor was about the size of a turkey and had feathers. Scientists know this from bumps on fossil arm bones where feathers attached.
Gather leaves, twigs, and grass outside and build a small nest together, then talk about which animals build nests today.
