How to Print Coloring Pages (Letter & A4)

Download the PDF, open it, and print at “Fit to page” — our PDFs are US Letter size and print correctly on A4 too; use plain printer paper for crayons and heavier paper for markers or paint.

Step by step

  1. Open any coloring page and press Download PDF (or Print to print straight from your browser).
  2. In the print dialog choose Portrait and Fit to page (sometimes called “Scale to fit”).
  3. Pick Black & white or Grayscale to save color ink — our pages are pure black lines.
  4. Print one copy first to check it, then print the rest.

US Letter or A4?

Our PDFs are US Letter (8.5 × 11 in) with generous margins, so they print correctly on A4 when “Fit to page” is selected — nothing important gets cut off.

Which paper?

  • Crayons and colored pencils: regular printer paper is fine.
  • Markers: slightly heavier paper (around 28–32 lb / 105–120 gsm) stops bleed-through.
  • Watercolor or paint sticks: use cardstock; thin paper will wrinkle.

Printing for a class

Teachers are welcome to print a copy for every student. Print a single test page, then use your copier for the rest — it's faster and cheaper than printing many copies from a home printer.

Quick answers

Why is part of my coloring page cut off?

Your printer is probably printing at “Actual size” on smaller paper or with large hardware margins. Choose “Fit to page” or “Scale to fit” in the print dialog and print again.

Can I print the pages for my classroom?

Yes. Our free license allows printing copies for personal, family, classroom and homeschool use. Please don’t resell the pages or upload the files to other websites.
