Butterfly Leaving Its Chrysalis Coloring Page

A brand-new butterfly clings to an open chrysalis hanging from a twig, its wings just starting to spread. It is a quiet, amazing spring moment. Color the wings with any pattern you like, and keep the empty chrysalis pale green.

Pip’s fun fact

When a butterfly first comes out of its chrysalis, its wings are soft and crumpled, and it rests while they stretch out and dry before it can fly.

Try this together

Hold your arms tucked in tight, then slowly open them wide like butterfly wings drying in the sun.
